A Bills defensive lineman had harsh words for a ref after losing to the Dolphins

Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Jerry Hughes was not happy with the refs after the Bills’ 21-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

So much so that he was seen lashing out toward at least one official in the tunnel following the game.

“You called me a ‘B—-,’ though,” Hughes can be heard yelling in a 23-second video caught by Spectrum News Buffalo’s Jon Scott, all while pointing toward an official. “I’ll catch you. Trust me, I’ll catch you. I’ll catch you, guarantee it.”

At that point, Hughes was pulled away from the official and made his way to the Bills locker room.

Hughes did not have a reaction to what transpired when asked about it in the locker room.

“What’s anger? Who’s angry? I’m angry? We just lost the game. I’m supposed to be angry,” Hughes said, according to a second video from Scott. “We just played our butts off for four quarters and we came six inches short of winning the football game. So I think myself, with a lot of Buffalo Bills fans are probably upset right now. I mean, that’s the nature of playing sports. Someone’s going to win. Someone’s going to lose.”

When asked specifically about the incident with the official, Hughes responded: “I would love to see the video.”
